The famous RAC Epsom club is situated adjacent to the racetrack and the company was invited to prepare plans and designs for the extension of the Coronation course, incorporating a new woodland belt to the south, within the Woodcote Park. 4/5 holes were added to the course adding some 200 yds to the overall course length. Many old golf features from a previous course layout were exposed during clearance, though unfortunately, none could be incorporated into the new layout. It was, however, interesting to see how a previous architect had planned the course.
